These programs were established to provide cash payments
to disabled drivers for the installation of adaptive equipment in any new
vehicle, whether it is purchased outright or leased.
GM Mobility Program
Through the GENERAL MOTORS (GM) Mobility Program, a customer
will be reimbursed for an amount matching the cost of after-market driver
or passenger adaptive aids, including installation, or reinstallation, up
to a maximum of $1000 when such equipment is installed on an eligible GENERAL
MOTORS (GM) vehicle. For more, contact the GENERAL MOTORS (GM) Mobility

Saturn Mobility Program
Customers will be reimbursed by the Saturn Mobility Program
for the cost of after-market driver of passenger adaptive aids, including
installation, or reinstallation, in an amount up to a maximum of $1000 when
such equipment is installed on an eligible Saturn vehicle. For more, contact

Ford Mobility Motoring Program
The Ford Mobility Motoring Program provides the customer with
a check, directly from a Ford or Lincoln-Mercury dealer, for up to $1000
toward the exact cost of the installation of adaptive equipment when purchasing
or leasing any eligible new Ford or Lincoln-Mercury vehicle. For more

Chrysler Automobility Program
When the customer buys or leases any new Chrysler Corporation
vehicle, Chrysler Corporation will provide cash reimbursement to help cover
the cost of installing adaptive driver or passenger equipment on the vehicle.
Conversions to full-size Ram Vans, Ram Wagons and mini-vans may be reimbursed
up to $1000 while all other Chrysler Corporation cars, and trucks. For more

Texas State Exemptions for Disabled
Drivers
Texas state residents who are disabled can claim exemption
from motor vehicle sales and use taxes on new or used vehicles when adaptive
equipment is installed for use by a disabled driver. The state sales
tax applied to the cost of the adaptive equipment, or any charges for the
installation of the equipment, may also be exempted. Claims can be
made after the date of purchase. For more, call the Controller of Public
Accounts at 1-800-252-5555.
Many automotive
manufacturers offer mobility programs that provide cash payments for the
installation of adaptive equipment in any new vehicle including leased
vehicles.
Many PrideSilver Star Lift Systems are eligible for reimbursement
under the terms of these programs.

is not listed, we recommend contacting them directly to see what options
are available.
Acura
Mobility Program (1-800-382-2238)
The Acura Mobility Program provides reimbursement of up to $1,000 of the
cost, to the vehicle owner, for after-market adaptive equipment for drivers
and/or passengers, when installed on any eligible purchased or leased new
Acura vehicle.
The DaimlerChrysler Automobility Program provides reimbursement of up to
$1,000 to help cover the cost of installing adaptive driver or passenger
equipment on eligible vehicles.

The Ford Mobility Motoring Program provides up to $1,000 toward the cost
of the installation of adaptive equipment when purchasing or leasing any
eligible new Ford or Lincoln-Mercury vehicle.

GM's mobility program reimburses customers for the cost of after-market driver
or passenger adaptive aids, including installation, or reinstallation, up
to a maximum of $1,000 when equipment is installed on an eligible GM vehicle.
The Honda Customer Mobility Assistance Program provides a reimbursement of
up to $1,000 to each eligible, original retail customer for expenses incurred
to purchase and install qualifying adaptive equipment on any eligible purchased
or leased Honda vehicle.
This program will assist Hyundai owners with up to $1,000 toward the cost
of installation of new adaptive equipment in a new Hyundai vehicle purchased
by an authorized Hyundai dealership.
Lexus
Mobility Program (1-800-255-3987~TTY 1-800-443-4999)
The Lexus Mobility Program provides reimbursement of up to $1,000 of the
cost, to the vehicle owner, for after-market adaptive equipment for drivers
and/or passengers, when installed on any eligible purchased or leased new
Lexus vehicle.
The Toyota Mobility Program provides a reimbursement of up to $1,000 to each
eligible, original retail customer, for the purchase and installation of
qualifying adaptive equipment on eligible Toyota vehicles.
The Mobility by Volvo Program provides up to $1,000 toward the cost of the
installation of adaptive equipment when purchasing or leasing any eligible
new Volvo vehicle.
