Megamat Plus actuator: This next generation version of Pride’s Megamat actuator has been designed to provide a new, higher standard of performance and reliability. It also has a terrific new, battery backup safety feature.
20% Additional Thrust Power: New rating of Megamat Plus is 1,350 lbs. push/pull force. Most Lift Chair systems are rated for only 1,000 lbs. The extra power, along with improvements to the lift frame, provide Pride Lift Chairs with a 375 lb. rating of lift capacity.
Integrated Battery Backup: This new feature provides an additional sense of security at no additional cost. Every Pride Lift Chair is equipped with an Integrated Battery Backup system, which will automatically activate during a power failure, and is strictly designed to take you from the recline position to the seated position. The system is powered by two 9V alkaline batteries (not included). We recommend that the batteries be replaced every time the IBB system is activated, or once a year if the system has not been activated. The IBB does not recharge automatically.

1. How tall are you?
ELECTRIC SEAT-LIFT CHAIRS - Seat Depth: The
largest bone in your body is your femur bone (your thigh bone). You need
an electric seat lift chair where your lower back rests up against the back
of your electric seat lift chair, and your knees bend at a gentle right angle
over the front of your electric seat lift chair. (If your there is a space
between your lower back and the back of the seat lift chair - this will lead
to fatigue)
Seat Height: You want your seat lift chair to support the back of your
head.
Seat-to-Floor: You want the bottom of your feet to rest gently on the
floor.
2. How much do you weigh?
eleIf you are over 300 pounds you probably need a
heavy-duty chair (2-lifting motors - 450 pound weight capability).
Seat-Width: If you are over-weight for your size, you probably need a chair
that has a larger Seat-Width or an optional Seat-Width adjustment.
3. Do you like a chair that is firmer or softer?
Firmer: Most people prefer the firmer-tufted models,
which gives a little more solid support for your back.
Softer: Some people like the soft-flowing pillow models, with additional
soft padding on the arm rests and leg rests.
4. Do you like to "sometimes" sleep in your lift-chair?
Recline: All lift-chairs come with an electric recline
feature - simply press a button and your chair will gently recline.
Sleep: Some people like to take a nap or sleep in their chairs - some lift-chairs
come with a 3-position/sleep position - simply press a button and your chair
will gently recline, and if you wish, recline even further back to an almost
complete sleeping position.
